Seriously, I adore me some nail art! I have an entire draw full of beautiful polishes and decals and all things mani related. In fact, you can usually find me hunched over at my desk wielding an acetone infused cotton bud and brandishing a new polish like I'm preparing to take someone's eye out when I should really be focusing on doing some "real" work!

I found out about this meme through the lovely Ana of Beach Bum Reads and thought what better way to marry two of the greatest pleasures in life than to create beautiful manis centered around the books we read!
Plus, this way I don't feel like I have to start yet another blog!

So let's get to the Mani!

The cover of Mortality has a lot of different greys in the form of the zombie and the clouds, but I kinda liked the idea of focusing on the bronze in the muddy ground behind the girls. I did have extravagant ideas to incorporate some kind of white/grey accent nail, but it just wasn't working out for me, so I focused instead on a type of skittle mani (which is a mix of different patterns, colours and designs) and created an ombre accent in bronze and gold for my ring finger!

I'm not normally a fan of shimmer polish, in fact I outright detest them, I'm a creme formula kind of girl, but there's something incredibly unique about Warm & Fozzie! It's a bronze base with tiny flecks of rose and green holographic glitter, it's crazy pretty and so much more sparkly up close! And it's based on this guy




So how could you not fall in love with it?

My pointer and pinkie fingers actually had Black Onyx layered underneath, it didn't capture quite like I wanted it to but it sort of had an outline effect!
