But . . . . where did you go?

Hiya!
So some of you may have been wondering where I've been lately. Of course, there's more than likely a great deal of you going, "Phew, thank god the crazy lady's been put back in her box and we don't have to sit around on tenterhooks wondering whether or not she's likely to be jumping out from behind the sofa wielding a knife!

There's a reason I've been studiously ignoring the blog and it's this:

Say whaaaaaaaaat?

I've finally been putting that little pea sized organ floating around in my head to good use, I've battened down the hatches on my wild and crazy blogging exploits, put a big ole' DO NOT ENTER sign on my blogger account and I've been spending a little time with my first love:
Writing books!
Or more accurately, editing and writing books.

I'm currently working with my first YA novel, you know that one that I've been talking about for the last three and a half years? I'm braving the dreaded end scene, which all logical explanations for thinking I had to gut my final scene like a fish and ingest the foul odor of three years worth of dead writing are currently evading me, but alas, I now must do that which shall not be named . . . oh sorry, I think for a moment there I began channeling J.K. Rowling  . . . where was I? Oh yes. I'm re-writing that baby bigger, better and with a heck of a lot more scary!
I'm also hoping for it to make sense this time around!

So, when I'm not working on Air and Darkness *takes a moment to stare daggers at said manuscript* I'm diving my time between the yummy New Adult contemporary piece set right here in rural, small town Australia. And when I'm not drooling all over my male protagonist - what? he happens to be exceptionally yummy, and I don't mind saying so - and I've done all the reading I can bear for one day, I'm stalking nail polish sites on the web and watching tutorials on manicures that I don't have a hope in hell of accomplishing in my life time!

It's sad but true.
My name's Carmen and I'm a polishaholic!
I also like to procrastinate. A lot.
Like right now for instance!
